Kiley has been making up stories for as long as she can remember, but she didn’t seriously consider writing for children until 2017. Her first “published” story as a second grader was a fairy tale retelling of Little Red Riding Hood… called Little Red Sweatsuit. She both wrote and illustrated her story but soon realized she should leave illustrating to the professionals (or really, to anyone but her).
More recently, Kiley was named a 2019 Picture Book Writing with the Stars mentee and a 2021 #RevPit winner. When not reading or writing, she can be found bicycling, eating dessert, or recommending books as a Youth Services Librarian. She lives in Ohio with her husband and rescue dog Yogi.
